Anil Baral

PRODUCER

As a writer/producer, Anil has various projects in television, feature film, and theatre. As a producer, Anil has participated in Film Independent’s Producer’s Lab, Film Independent’s Fast Track Program, and IFP’S No Borders Program for The Rosenbergs, a controversial biopic of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, written by Yon Motskin. Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, Top of the Lake, The One I Love) is starring. Sophie Barthes (Cold Souls, Madame Bovary) is directing with planned fall 2016 shoot. In 2009 and 2011, Anil was awarded a Tribeca Institute & Sloan Foundation Screenplay Grant for a biopic on the scientist, Marie Curie, A Noble Affair, co-written with Kathryn Maughan. Neda Armian (Rachel Getting Married, The Longest Week, Why Stop Now) is producing. Carole Scotta and Caroline Benjo of Haut et Court (They Came Back, Coco Before Chanel, Ma vie en rose, The Class) are also producing. In television, Anil participated in the 2011 Producer’s Guild of America Diversity Workshop for a television pilot, which he wrote with his partner, Carla Blair.

Elisabeth Moss

ACTOR

Elisabeth Moss can next be seen starring in THE FREE WORLD, a drama from director Jason Lew also starring Boyd Holbrook, which premiered at the 2016 Sundance International Film Festival, and in HIGH-RISE, a film directed by Ben Wheatley also starring Tom Hiddleston, Sienna Miller and Jeremy Irons, which will be released in April. She has also completed work on THE SEAGULL, directed by Michael Mayer, also starring Corey Stoll, Annette Bening and Saoirse Ronan, and on THE BLEEDER, a film also starring Liev Schreiber about the true-life tale of underdog boxer, Chuck Wepner, who improbably pushed world champ Muhammad Ali to the limit in their 1975 title fight. Later this month, Moss will begin production on MAD TO BE NORMAL, a biopic starring David Tennant as acclaimed Scottish psychiatrist, RD Laing, and will begin production this Spring on the second installment of the critically-acclaimed miniseries TOP OF THE LAKE with Jane Campion.

Andrij Parekh

CINEMATOGRAPHER

Of Ukrainian and Indian descent, Andrij studied cinematography at the FAMU film school in Prague and at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he received his MFA in 2001. Andrij was nominated for the 1998 Eastman Excellence in Cinematography Award, apprenticed on THE YARDS (2000) with Harris Savides, and is a recipient of the 2001 & 2003 ASC Heritage Award for Cinematography. Andrij has shot twenty features to date, including THE ZOOKEEPER'S WIFE (Director Niki Caro), BLUE VALENTINE (Director Derek Cianfrance), COLD SOULS (Director Sophie Barthes) and HALF NELSON (Director Ryan Fleck). His films have played at many international festivals, including Cannes, Toronto, and Sundance. Andrij was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film,” and was included as one of Variety magazine’s “10 Cinematographers to Watch.”

Yon Motskin

SCREENWRITER

Yon is a writer and director. He wrote The Rosenbergs, about atomic spies Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, which will star Elisabeth Moss. His first film premiered at Sundance, he directs network television, and he’s currently developing a miniseries for Steven Spielberg and Alex Gibney.
