Raúl is a Mexican-Immigrant filmmaker whose cinematic style melds visual anthropology with cinema verité. His films, which focus on indigenous and immigrant rights, have screened all over the world. Border South is Raúl’s first feature film.
PRODUCER, ADVISOR
Jason is a Mexican-American Professor of Anthropology at the University of Michigan. He currently directs the Undocumented Migration Project, a long-term study of clandestine border crossing that combines ethnographic, archaeological, and forensic approaches. Recently he was awarded the prestigious 2016 Margaret Mead Award for his book The Land of Open Graves.

Ellen is a Spanish speaking filmmaker and editor. She works on independent documentary films. Most recently Ellen assisted Lindsay Utz in cutting Quest: The Sound and the Fury. Her work often focuses on stories from Latin America and North-South relations.
