Joaquín del Paso attended the Polish National Film School (Łódź) and the International Film School (Cuba). He has participated in Berlinale Talents and IFF Rotterdam Producers lab. Joaquín is a founder of Amondo Films, a collective based in Warsaw, Delhi and Mexico. His award-winning first feature MAQUINARIA PANAMERICANA premiered at Berlinale Forum 2016.
