Cinema Eye announces non-fiction nominees for the 2011 Honors to be presented at the Museum of Moving Image, including filmmaker Lixin Pan's debut film Last Train Home.

If you've been following our guest blogger Ingrid Kopp's posts about transmedia and new ways to use digital media to tell stories, you won't want to miss filmmaker Paul Kamuf's latest project, Light, As a Feather. He tells NewTeeVee that what attracted him to the project was the "ability to use the browser as part of the storytelling. The idea was to show that the browser can move and illustrate what’s happening."

Scott Kirsner of CinemaTech is giving away a free pass to a workshop at the upcoming New York (November 13) and LA (November 20) editions of Distribution University, where industry experts such as Marc Schiller of Electric Artists and Ira Deutchman of Emerging Pictures will be talking about audience-building, social media, distribution, and crowd-funding.
