Announcing the 2019 OUR LOCAL IS GLOBAL Grantee

We’re excited to announce the recipients of our annual OUR LOCAL IS GLOBAL fund, David Figueroa García, Mauricio Leiva Cock, Juan Diego Villegas, and Mauro Mueller, who will develop a Proof of Concept for their series TENEBRIS. The show follows Gabriel Hoffman, a washed out TV host, famous for his ability to interact with the paranormal, and Clara, his determined assistant, will face dark forces while trying to find an opportunity to resurrect his career. 

Through this fund, which is in partnership with WarnerMedia’s 150, the TENEBRIS team will receive $40,000 to make their Proof of Concept. After completion it will be shopped to WarnerMedia networks and studios for potential investment to develop as a series.

David, Mauricio, and Juan participated in the 2019 TFI Network and Works-In-Progress program for their scripted feature LA NOCHE DE LA BESTIA. Mauricio, Juan and Mauro received a TFI Latin America Fund grant for their film THE LIFE AND DEATH OF ESPIRÍTU PERDOMO in 2016.
