This week's Reframe Spotlight is Hans Hofmann: Artist/Teacher, Teacher/Artist, a 2003 documentary directed by Madeline Amgott and narrated by our own Robert De Niro, who recently celebrated his 68th birthday. The film offers both an explanation of modern art (Hofmann was a first-generation Abstract Expressionist) and the story of a teacher of thousands of artists, writers and dancers.
