Since 1991 the all-volunteer program Art From The Streets has provided a safe and nurturing environment for homeless please to produce art. In 2011, more than 1,100 people attended their annual show, and the artists earned more than $68,000 through sales of their art. Now in Layton Blaylock's feature-length documentary, also titled Art From the Streets, the film tracks five of the at its involved over the course of a year. Viewers will visit homeless camps, learn the daily challenges of street life, and witness the strengths of human character. You will also experience the 2-day show and sale where the artists’ work is sold and where they interact with people that they rarely have a chance to encounter in such a positive way.
