Recently Indiewire announced that TFI has teamed to be their new Project of the Month partner. For the next year winners of the monthly voting competition will receive creative consultations with our program heads Tamir Muhammed and Ryan Harrington. Here's how it works. Indiewire's Project of the Day column puts a spotlight on one in-the-works project each day, Monday through Thursday. Projects of the Day are exciting new projects, looking for support in building an audience and getting made. At the end of the week, all four Projects of the Day vie for Project of the Week, the winner of which gets a digital distribution consultation from Indiewire's parent company, SnagFilms. At the end of each month, each Project of the Week is eligible for Project of the Month. June's winner is Tim O'Donnell's Finding My Dad's Memories. Here's a synopsis: Due to a traumatic brain injury, my dad does not remember anything that happened in the home we lived in for over twenty years, or golfing, which he did regularly for fifty years. This film will follow my dad’s return to these places he cannot remember. What is memory? Has your memory of something ever been replaced with a photo or video? Do you remember it from the camera’s lens? This film explores the relationship of the captured image and memory.
Congrats to Tim! And we look forward to highlighting more winners in the months to come.
