Over the past two weeks, we hosted our 10th annual TFI Network, presented by AT&T. We virtually convened 43 documentary, scripted and interactive project teams from over 20 countries for a week of pitch prep, followed by a week of one-on-one meetings with financiers, festival programmers, and other industry representatives. At the conclusion of TFI Network, several of our partners awarded prizes to filmmaking teams that will help them take their projects to the next level. Congratulations to these winners!
Adrienne Shelly Foundation / TFI Filmmaker Award
CLARISSA DE LOS REYES and her film JOHNNY LOVES DOLORES
The award is a $5,000 from the Adrienne Shelley Foundation is a development grant, selected from one woman filmmaker participating with a project in TFI Network on which they are both the screenwriter & director.
Chemistry Cine
The feature documentary FRANK BEY: YOU’RE GOING TO MISS ME received a full color-correction & deliverables package from Mexico-based Chemistry Cine.
Cine Qua Non Lab
Our partners at Cine Qua Non Lab selected scripted films LOS CAÍDOS and NEON TILAPIA to participate in their screenwriting lab in Tzintzuntzan, Mexico.
DOCSMX
DOCSMX (Documentary Film Festival in Mexico City) chose HENRI: EL ÚLTIMO PIRATA to participate in their festival’s filmmaker workshop in October 2020 (including full accreditation to the festival).
Konsonant Music
Our friends at Konsonant Music awarded six scripted and documentary filmmaking teams with Music & Sound finishing packages totaling in $35,000.
In addition, each participating TFI NETWORK project will receive a $500 voucher towards either licensing or consultation for their project.
Panavision / Light Iron
Scripted film FIRE.W*RKS IN LIBERTY SQUARE took home $100,000 worth of in-kind prizes from Panavision / Light Iron, including a $60,000 camera package and $40,000 in post-production services.
