Silas Siakor, winner of the Goldman Environmental Prize, risked everything to cut off warlord Charles Taylor from the illegal timber trade that was helping fund Liberia's 14-year civil war. Now, Siakor tries to kick-start his country’s struggling economy through sustainable logging.

Anjali has worked with the networks in this film for eight years. Anjali has a masters in documentary from Columbia and masters in science from Oxford. She’s also directing Gun Runners and Just A Band.

Hawa worked on TV commercials and documentaries before directing the Kenyan TV drama series Makutano Junction. Hawa’s film Soul Boy (2010) received five nominations at the 2011 African Academy Awards.
