Tribeca All Access® 2007
A twelve-year-old girl exposes a secret society of junior high school girls called The Sisterhood of Night. This plunges a small New Jersey town into controversy, beginning the harsh but often humorous inquiry of journalists, filmmakers and photographers whose perspectives frame the film as a mockumentary.
Director
Caryn Waechter, a native Californian, completed her Masters of Fine Arts in Directing at Columbia University in 2004. Her thesis film "God is Good," written by Dennis Lee, toured the film festival circuit and was honored with the New Line Cinema Award for Best Director (Columbia University Film Festival), Narrative Short Finalist (IFP Market) and Special Jury Prize (USA Film Festival) among other awards.
