Karen Hayes

Director, Producer

Karen Hayes produced and directed An Incident in the Life of Slave Girl, a short film based on the 1861 memoir of abolitionist Harriet Jocobs, as part of the AFI Directing Program for Women in 2006. She produced and directed the award-winning documentary, South African Woman Artists Speak, and the award-winning short film, How It Is, both of which were screened at a number of festivals and featured on Black Entertainment Television (BET). She holds an MFA in Film and Television Production from UCLA.

Darin Kuhlmann

Producer

Darin Kuhlmann has worked in th entertainment industry for 20 years, dedicating most of his career to Film Production and Marketing. With the backing of four major creative advertising films, Darin launched and became president of Picture Head, a post-production facility in Hollywood in 2000. In the past few years, Darin has produced a number of independent feature films, including, Looking Through Lillian, winner of best film at Houston International Film Festival in 2001. He has also produced The Road Home (2003) and Slip (2006).
