1976 Boston. Bernice, the first woman hired by an MIT tech start up, tries to get the endorsement of Stevie Wonder for the ambitious and sometimes technically flawed invention of maverick genius Ray Kurzweil: a computer that reads books aloud for the blind. Bernice’s and Ray’s personal conflicts and ultimate achievements pave the way for technological advance for generations.
