Set in an apartment complex outside Oakland, OSIAN tells the story of neighboring Persian-American families through the eyes of two teenagers — one reeling with the death of her mother, the other obsessed with raising money for his own funeral.
Babak Khoshnoud
Director, Screenwriter
Babak started his career as an Art Director at design consultancy, IDEO, in his hometown of San Francisco. He founded production company, Yours Truly Creative, in 2011 with co-founder Will Abramson, and from there went on to work with brands such as adidas originals, Ray-Ban, Red Bull, Google, Apple Music, and Spotify creating global content campaigns which inlcuded scripted, documentary and hybrid films. He’s directed works with musicians Robyn, Miguel, FKA Twigs, Joji, and James Blake. He’s produced short form films with the likes of Alex Karpofsky, Debra Winger, Mamoudou Athie, and Arturo Castro. His feature documentary, FREE FROM WHAT, is currently in production and was supported by TFI, IFP and A&E labs. His work has been recognized by publications like The New Yorker, The New York Times, NPR, and Wired Magazine.
Zoey Taylor

Zoey Taylor is an executive producer of immersive content at Framestore, a Oscar-winning VFX studio. Zoey primarily focuses on evangelizing emerging technologies as robust storytelling platforms, bringing Hollywood-caliber visuals to VR/AR/MR projects. Whether launching GAME OF THRONES, INTERSTELLAR, or Marvel’s AVENGERS and FANTASTIC BEASTS & WHERE TO FIND THEM, Zoey has been fortunate enough to partner directly with entertainment studios, brands and tech giants to bring fan favored IPs to life across headset, handheld devices and the festival/event circuit including Sundance, Tribeca, Cannes, SXSW and more.
Will Abramson
Producer
Will began his career as the hip-hop director at Yahoo Music and then moved on to become the Director of Branded Content at SPIN Media. Over the last 7 years he’s developed campaigns for adidas originals, Ray-Ban, RBMA, airbnb, WeTransfer, Spotify and Apple Music. He’s worked on over 400 short form profiles with YT partner Babak Khoshnoud, documenting the work of artists like Kehlani, Blood Orange, Tinashe, Margo Price, Empress Of, Moses Sumney, Natalie Prass, Khalid, Chance the Rapper, and Kendrick Lamar. Will is currently building a non-profit music and visual arts incubator in downtown Los Angeles, that provides this generation of creative polymaths with the tools, resources, and real-world opportunities to practice every position in the new music creator ecosystem.
