When a dangerous water-weed threatens to take over his lake and livelihood, a fisherman in rural Kenya enlists the help of his granddaughter to fight back using glowing, genetically modified fish. As strange lights appear in the lake, chaos erupts in the village.
Director, Screenwriter
Tony Koros is a Kenyan screenwriter, director and producer. His award-winning short films have been official selections at over seventy international film festivals including Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival 2019 & 2018, Palm Springs International Shortfest where he won the Alexis Prize in 2017, and FESPACO 2017. He is a recipient of the 2019 Hollywood Foreign Press Association grant and holds an MFA in Filmmaking from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts (2018).
Producer
Elizabeth Charles has over a decade of experience in media and entertainment across radio, commercials, branded content, music videos, short films and television in the Caribbean and United States. Elizabeth works to champion content that exemplifies inclusive and diverse storytelling from multicultural voices. She is a graduate of NYU Stern School of Business and the Tisch School of the Arts, an Independent Producer and formerly an Associate in the Office of the CEO of the multicultural broadcast network, Univision. As a producer, Elizabeth’s short films have received awards from several film festivals including the Best Emerging Filmmaker Awards at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in both 2017 and 2018 and been featured as Official Selections in more than 30 festivals including Clermont- Ferrand International Short Film Festival and FESPACO. Her most recent short is a Vimeo Staff Pick that received over 100K views in less than a week.
Cinematographer
Dominica Eriksen is an award-winning cinematographer whose work has screened internationally, including festivals such as TIFF, Clermont Ferrand, Aspen Shortsfest, New Orleans International Film Festival and Palm Springs Short Film Festival. She is a two-time recipient of the Nestor Almendros Cinematography Award, was a finalist for the 2017 ARRI Volker Bahnemann Award, and is the winner of two First Run Film Festival Awards for Cinematography. She has completed her MFA in Cinematography and Directing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
Production Designer
Lily Prentice is a Michigan born, New York City-based costume and character designer, with a special interest in new & devised work and arts education. She has an MFA in costume design from NYU Tisch and earned a BS from Bowdoin College in Visual Arts and English in 2010.
