When a middle-aged, black punk rock single dad is served an eviction notice by the greedy new landlord of his New York City tenement building, he has to fight for his way of life and save the livelihood of his family, the building’s tenants, and the character of neighborhood that’s being threatened to vanish forever.

A. Sayeeda Moreno is a proud native New Yorker. Her Futurestates.tv short, White, premiered at SXSW and screened at Tribeca and BAMcinemaFest. The feature-length script (co-written with Micah Schaffer) won the San Francisco Film Society Hearst Award. Her short, Sin Salida, aired on HBO. She earned her MFA in Film from NYU.
Derek Nguyen

Derek Nguyen is a writer, director, and producer. He wrote and directed The Housemaid (HKFilm Vietnam & CJ Entertainment) and The Potential Wives of Norman Mao (narrated by George Takei). Derek is the Director of Operations & Creative Affairs for Gamechanger Films, which financed, Lovesong, The Invitation, and Buster’s Mal Heart.

Josh Robbins grew up in New York City. He has a BA in Film from Hunter College, CUNY and an MFA in Screenwriting from USC. He has received numerous awards for his screenwriting and his teaching, He is an LA Film Independent Screenwriting Fellow and a member of the WGA IWC.
