JP Habac

Director

JP Habac is a filmmaker from the Philippines. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Film from the University of the Philippines and has participated in Busan’s Asian Film Academy (2013), Generation Campus in Moscow (2013), Southeast Asian Film Lab (2014), InterDoc Masterclass (2014), NAFF Fantastic Film School (2015), and the Luang Prabang Film Festival Talent Lab (2019). Habac has directed films that have received many accolades in various international film festivals like Cairo International Film Festival, Tampere Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, and Festival de Cortos de Bogotá. Following his critically acclaimed first feature film, I’M DRUNK, I LOVE YOU, he is now developing the music-filled comedy-drama film GOLDEN, which has been selected to participate in the 2020 TFI Network.

Omar Sortijas

Producer

Omar Sortijas has produced several Filipino films over the years, including DIE BEAUTIFUL (2016) which won the Audience Choice and Best Actor Awards at the Tokyo International Film Festival. One of his most recent projects KUNG PAANO HINIHINTAY ANG DAPITHAPON (2018) won Best Film at the 2018 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival. It also received the Special Jury Prize and Best Actor Award at the Fantasporto International Film Festival, and the Audience Choice Award at the Vesoul International Film Festival. He is currently the Creative Director of TBA Studios, the film outfit behind the 2015 Philippine entry for Best Foreign-Language Film at the Oscars, HENERAL LUNA (2014).

Daphne Chiu

Producer

Daphne O. Chiu studied filmmaking at the International Academy of Film and Television in 2008. After graduation, she worked briefly as a segment producer for Philippine Fashion Week TV. She realized that her heart is in movies and tapped out of the TV stint. Since then, she has produced various movie projects and worked as an in-house Producer, Executive Vice President and General Manager of TBA Studios. She recently took a break from producing films and chose to focus on company operations after wrapping up the biopic historical film GOYO: ANG BATANG HENERAL (2018), which took more than one year in production. After a bit of hiatus, she is currently developing a couple of projects, including GOLDEN, directed by JP Habac.
