Renowned Mexican American actress who has starred in B.O. hits like THE NOBLE FAMILY, INSTRUCTIONS NOT INCLUDED and DON'T BLAME THE KID. Souza is currently on the prime time award winning HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. At the age of 7, she did her screen debut in the film ASPEN EXTREME, which awoke her interest for acting. Years later, after moving to France, she studied dance, singing and acting. Later on, she decided to move to London, where she studied at Central School of Speech and Drama for 3 years. She continued her studies at Moscow for summer under Stanislavski method, thanks to a scholarship given by The Moscow Arts Theatre.
By 2008, she returned to Mexico, and made her television debut in TERMINALES. After doing different projects, by 2013 she starred films THE NOBLE FAMILY and INSTRUCTIONS NOT INCLUDED, Mexican box office hits that marked her career. By 2016 she stared the successful film DONT BLAME THE KID, EVERYBODY LOVES SOMEBODY (2017) and she continues to play Laurel Castillo in HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER series.

She has a Bachelor Degree from ITESM Monterrey and had the opportunity to study in England, France and cinematography at UCLA and Photography at IFP in New York. She began her career at Rio Negro Producciones developing films with producer Matthias Ehrenberg. By 2012 she joined Adicta Films, where she produced TV Series including: CHLOROFORM, EL ALBERGUE, LA CLÍNICA, PAMBOLEROS, HÉROES DEL NORTE, among others. By 2016 she worked with BTFMedia in the production of the Emmy Award nominated TV Series UNTIL I MET YOU for Disney International.
Director, Screenwriter
Pablos earned his academic degree from the CCC with the short film LA CANCIÓN DE LOS NIÑOS MERTON which won more than 10 International awards and was selected in Festivals such as Cannes and San Sebastian among others. For this work, Pablos earned the Ariel Award for Best Live Action Short in 2010. He has a Masters Degree in Columbia University, where he specialized in directing and script writing thanks to the prestigious scholarship FULBRIGHT.
His documentary UNA FRONTERA, TODAS LAS FRONTERAS (2010) was part of the Official Selection at IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam). By 2013 he premiered his first feature film LA VIDA DESPUÉS at the 70th Venice International Film Festival, as part of the Official Selection. The film was selected in more than 40 Film Festivals around the world and received many awards. The same year he directed 20 Y MAS POR EL ARTE a TV series created to celebrate Canal 22’s 20th Anniversary. His second feature, THE CHOSEN ONES, received CNC’s support and competed at the Un Certain Regard section of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. The film received 13 nominations for the 58th Ariel Award and won 5 of them, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. He was FONCA’S young creators intern. Currently, he is preparing the adaptation the famous novel Roberto Bolaño’s LOS DETECTIVES SALVAJES and he co-wrote with Julio Medem the TV series JAI ALAI.
