Born and raised in Amman, Jordan Zaid got into entertainment through starting acting at the age of five. He holds an MFA from the New York Film Academy in Hollywood California, and a BA in Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University in Beirut. Zaid has written and produced for a wide range of television shows internationally including E! Entertainment’s coverage of the Golden Globe and Sesame Street. In addition, Zaid worked as a television reporter for Middle East Broadcast Corporation group in Hollywood. In 2009, he established his own company, Zaha Productions, writing, directing and producing six award winning short films with the cooperation of Los Angeles and Gulf based production houses.

Zaid’s Debut film Baram & Hamza won International awards and was distributed in the U.S. and Europe, promoting peace and tolerance. His other films include the two part series, Love…Older and the 2012 Oscar-qualified film Bahiya & Mahmoud, which also won the “Best of Fest” award at the Palm Springs International Shortfest.  Zaid is currently residing in Hollywood where he’s developing his first feature film Daughters of Abdul-Rahman. The feature is developed with the cooperation of The Doha Film Institute, the Torino Film Lab and the Royal Film Commission of Jordan. Zaid is currently developing a television show in Dubai based on his award winning short, Bahiya and Mahmoud.
