Melanie Miller has over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. As VP of Acquisitions & Marketing at Gravitas Ventures and more recently as EVP at Samuel Goldwyn Films, she has been instrumental in the growth of the new paradigm of independent distribution. Melanie co-founded Fishbowl Films Diane Becker and their latest collaboration INVENTING TOMORROW by Laura Nix, had its world premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. INVENTING TOMORROW was theatrically released and made its national broadcast debut on July 29th on the PBS documentary series POV. She is a member of the Producers Guild (PGA).
On the Divide
ON THE DIVIDE follows the story of three Latinx people living in McAllen, Texas who, despite their views, are connected by the most unexpected of places: the last abortion clinic on the U.S./Mexico border. As threats to the clinic and their personal safety mount, our three characters are forced to make decisions they never could have imagined.
