Maria Chiu is a multimedia journalist and documentary filmmaker based in New York City. She has produced feature documentaries with an Academy Award-nominated filmmaker in Los Angeles and was recently named a McClatchy Fellow.
The Towers
Five-time national champions of dwarf basketball, the New York Towers raised the bar for dwarfs playing basketball around the country. This year, the Towers compete for the gold medal at the World Dwarf Games. Through this team, they show that you don’t have to be tall to play ball.
