Katelyn Rebelo is a graduate of Tisch School of the Arts with a major in Film & Television and minor in Social and Cultural Analysis. She is a director, cinematographer, and animator, especially interested in the ability of film to coincide with socially minded causes.
In Japan, there is a special way to grieve after having an abortion. Inspired by these Buddhist rituals, Mizuko is an intimate look of how a half-Japanese American woman re-evaluates the controversial drawing of ‘the line’ in abortion ethics, when she becomes pregnant herself.
