A native New Yorker, Ernest Leif Boyd grew up in The Bronx.
Ernest worked as an assistant editor on cable documentaries at New York Times Television. His numerous projects included Code Blue and Science Times. Since then, Ernest has shot and directed documentary footage and has remained an active member of Local 700, serving on editing panels for the March 2004 Showbiz Exposition.
Currently, Ernest is working on the editorial staff of Jonathan Demme’s remake of The Manchurian Candidate.
Ernest completed his undergraduate degree at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, where he studied both chemistry and cinema.
Set in the polarized universe of The Bronx, BxEd tells the tale of an underhanded lawyer who unwillingly defends a drug dealer after he has been hunted down and arrested by rogue officers.
