About
Bienvenida Matías is the former executive director of the Association of Independent Video and Film (AIVF) and the Center for Arts Criticism (CAC). Prior to CAC, she was Director of Production at the Independent Television Service and Executive-in-Charge of Production at WNYC-TV. Her producer credits include public television and independent documentaries, including El Corazon De Loisaida. She served on the boards of AIVF, Intermedia Arts Minnesota, and Woman Make Movies, and has taught at Hunter College's Film and Media Department.
