Andrew Bui is a New York City based filmmaker, photographer, and teaching artist. He received his BFA in film from NYU, Tisch School of the Arts, adn was the recipient of a prestigious fellowship from Miramax. he received a grant from Warner Brothers, and has been a finalist for the Chris Columbus/ Richard Vague grant. His films have been exhibited at venues internationally including at the DGA in Los Angeles and music videos that have aired on MTV Japan. His photography has shown at the Brooklyn Museum and at the Chamber of Fine Arts in Chelsea. He has worked as an educator with students of underrepresented and underpriviledged backgrounds in the arts and film with organizations including NYU, The Internal Center of Photography, adn the United Way. Andrew Bui is developing his first feature, tentatively titled Bronxopolis. He lives in the Bronx.
