I love apples and I'm not particularly fond of sleeping. I'm a rising senior visual arts major at LaGuardia High School. I come from a Russian family who immigrated to the United States in the 1990s. I have been intertwined with this community for my entire life and my short documentary film is an intersection between the investigation of Russian American communities living in New York and the search for my identity. By breaking down the different generations within my community, I aim to present my culture in a different light while investigating its place within my identity as a first generation American.
