About

Ana Lily Amirpour is an English-born Iranian-American filmmaker. Her recent short film, Six and a Half, premiered at Slamdance and won the Golden Ace Award at the Las Vegas Int'l Film Festival/ Her feature-length script, The Stones, was a grand prizewinner of the Bluecat Screenwriting  Competition and a finalist for the 2009 Sundance Screenwriter's Lab and FIND Director's lab. She is in development on her second feature script, a dark comedy, Andronica 8 and in preproduction on her next short film, a look at teenage firls and self-image in Tehran, Pashmahloo (Furry One). Ana Lily is completing her MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA Film School.
