In order to support the work of the TFI New Media Fund by unpacking the process by which our funded projects develop and documenting the lessons learned in real time, we've put together the TFI New Media Wiki.
Transmedia growing and changing rapidly, and we hope that this wiki will become a valuable resource for this expanding medium. While the wiki will have a bent towards non-fiction, social justice-oriented work, as does the fund, ultimately our goal is to have the wiki be a resource for both media makers who are unfamiliar with the “transmedia” space, and artists who are currently working in the field.
We believe that filmmakers intent on exploring and heightening the interactivity of their work deserve robust and active resources to guide them through the new media landscape. We want this Wiki to be one of those resources -- a collaborative and communal space where filmmakers/storytellers/insert-trendy-word-of-the-year here can contribute.
We hope you'll join us and share your experiences and knowledge in the world of cross-platform, new media, transmedia or your other term of choice. As with any Wiki, the more that is put into it, the more constructive it will become. Please visit often to share insightful books and articles, posts videos, or alert fellow filmmakers to developments within the new media space. We welcome you and cannot wait to see what you create!
